76th Independence Day Celebration
On August 15, 2023, Jana Gana Mana Vidhyamandir and Jr. College in Dombivli (w) celebrated the 76th Independence Day with great enthusiasm. The campus was adorned with decorations including flowers, flags, and patriotic artwork. Noteworthy freedom fighters' paintings adorned the walls, and the flag area was enhanced with a flower rangoli.
At 6:30 a.m., all students, teachers, and staff assembled for the flag hoisting by President Dr. Rajkumar Kolhe. The national anthem was sung collectively, followed by a brief yet impactful program. The event commenced with a vibrant student procession, transitioning into a cultural function.
Students presented a skit portraying Lokmanya Tilak's life and delivered a powerful dialogue, "Mi Shenga Khallya nahi, Mi tarfale feknaar nahi." There were musical performances, patriotic speeches, and the Founder and President of JMF, along with other dignitaries, graced the stage.
Dr. Rajkumar Kolhe delivered a patriotic speech, followed by lectures from Mr. Nadar and the Principal of JMF's Degree College. The cultural segment included a dance performance by 12th-grade students and patriotic songs.
The program concluded at 10:00 a.m. with refreshments provided by the college. The event ended with the national song, 'Vande Mataram,' successfully invoking patriotism and paying tribute to the martyrs.
