Indian culture is full of festival and Bail Pola is one of the important festival celebrated in our Jana Gana Mana Vidyamandir and Jr.college . President of JMF, Dr Rajkumar Kolhe , Secretary Mrs Prerna Kolhe Madam ,Principal Shyamala Rao Madam of CBSE board, Vice-Principal Tejavati Kotian and all teaching and non teaching staff were present for the celebration of Bail Pola. Prerna Madam told students the significance of Bail Pola, how it is celebrated. She told that this day is celebrated by the farmers of Maharashtra to pay importance to the cows and bullocks named Bail Pola, meaning Bullock Pola. Students have prepared the replicas of bullock card and farmer. They themselves dressed as farmar and came to school. They were given importance of Bullock and Farmer and why we worship bullock. This day falls on Kushopatini Amavasya, on the full moon day of the month of Shravana. So, the farmers from the decorate and worship bulls on this day. Bullocks are given rest and no agricultural activity is engaged. Bullocks and cows are decorated and also worshipped on this day and it is a kind of expressing gratitude to Bullocks on this day. A procession of Bullocks is carried in evening.
